“Educating and Empowering Creatives to Thrive in the spirit of Community over Competition.” -Rising Tide Society

Earlier this month, our small, but mighty inaugural Tuesdays Together gathering happened. It was so refreshing and inspiring to gather with like-minded and supportive creative friends. When Macy, Madison and I decided to start an Iowa chapter, it took off so quickly, that we didn’t explain what this movement is all about. We were so grateful for those who came to a small corner of Panera and weren’t even sure what they were attending. Well, friends, today that changes!

Tuesdays Together is a small part of the beautiful Rising Tide Society, founded by some amazing and big hearted women. Natalie and Krista are not only phenomenal photographers, but two of the kindest and most humble of friends to so many. I first met them at the Creative at Heart conference in January and they stole my heart. Their passion and love for educating and uplifting everyone around them is contagious! I could write for days about what community and that conference mean to me, but this is about Rising Tide!!

The creative industry can sometime feel very isolating, competitive and lonely. TuesdaysTogether groups are a place for Creative Entrepreneurs, Weekend Warriors, and Small Business CEOs to grow and thrive in the spirit of Community over Competition.

We all have something to learn and undoubtedly, something to teach. In an ever changing world and as creatives, we always need inspiration and support. Imagine how amazing the wedding and art world would be if we all pushed each other to create our best and most authentic work! We are stronger together than we will ever be apart. So let’s get together, lift each other up and make amazing and original things happen! We all have voices, perspectives and talents to share. Why wouldn’t we want to learn how to be our best selves and artists; to serve our clients better?!

Each week, all of the Tuesdays Together group leaders are sent a topic for discussion. Some weeks, we will talk about it all meeting and others we will discuss what is on our hearts and what our struggles and triumphs are. We are there to help each other grow, to feel a sense of strong community and support each other.

That is what it is all about and I hope that you will join us on July 14th (and every 2nd Tuesday after that!). We are still determining our location, but I cannot wait to see you there and give you a big hug!
