Meet Lindsay!

Uncategorized

Happy Monday, lovelies!

I am so excited today, to introduce you to my sweet new friend Lindsay! She has been a breath of fresh air in the HHE family and my life the last few months.

Lindsay and I connected over the summer and after lunch and a long chat about our dreams, perspectives on weddings, marriage and life, and window shopping, I asked her to come on board as our first official intern to assist with weddings, blog features and anything else in between that she finds interesting. Her creativity, love for fashion and overall sweet heart and personality have already been such an asset. I am so excited to see how we help each other grow and how she helps us to help you better through your planning process.

Like I mentioned, you will see her posting on the blog, helping at any events and possibly replying to emails. Without further ado, here’s a bit more about this bubbly and amazing woman in her own words!

Tell us a bit about your love story and why you love all things wedding.

I have loved weddings since I was a little girl, but I fell in love with the planning process when I was engaged. Reid and I dated through college and he popped the questions after about three years. He put so much into the proposal–an Italian dinner, proposing under the Christmas lights, a hidden photographer, and a Cinderella carriage ride through downtown.

Planning our big day, I wanted to design everything myself. It was a lot of work, but I loved every minute of it. With the help of my amazing family and now husband, we put together our dream day! My favorite part of the planning process was picking colors and designs to pull every aspect together. I also taught myself calligraphy which is now one my favorite hobbies!

What is your favorite part of a wedding?

As a hopeless romantic, I love the bride’s entrance! I adore watching her face and the groom’s face light up when they see each other at such a life changing moment!

You own an Etsy shop, Chevrons & Champagne, tell us a bit about that and how it came about!

Since I loved planning and designing for my wedding, I wanted be able to continue to do so after our wedding! Right now I am working on rebranding my shop and hope to re-launch in January to include wedding branding, invitations, and calligraphy!

As a fashionista in your own rite, what is your favorite wedding trend right now?

There are so many beautiful wedding trends right now it’s so hard to choose! My personal tastes trend towards light, romantic, and sparkly! I truly believe that each couple should design their wedding around a trend that they love!

What are you most excited to share with our readers?

I can’t wait to share advice, planning tips, and DIY ideas! I am so excited to have this opportunity to interact with so many amazing readers and I hope to inspire at least one bride!

Head on over to C&C to give this gal some love and feel free to leave her a little love note below! We cannot wait to show you what we have in store for you this year. It will certainly be an amazing year, friends!

xoxo,

Jenn
