How is it already MAY!?! Spring has sprung, birds are chirping and late night storms are setting in. The bulk of the HHE wedding season is kicking off in a month and beautiful behind the scenes stuff is taking shape. Before we know it, summer will be upon us and I’m not sure if I’ll be ready for it. You know what I am ready for? Making May as wonderful as April was!

Before delving into this month’s goals, here’s a status report on April. April was full of progress, some slip ups and a lot of dreaming. On the finance front, two major things happened that I am over the moon about. Adam and I are almost halfway through Financial Peace University and I transitioned HHE to Quickbooks! Hello efficiencies and intentional stewardship!! It is such an empowering feeling, loves. In the learning realm, there is more I have absorbed and resources I am now aware of, it is insane. In the best way. This month will involve me getting deeper into those, so keep an eye out for some awesome stuff! So here’s the bummer- healthy living. I’m not sure what the hang up is. The best intentions and plans always seem to fall by the wayside. We did really well for two weeks, then fell apart. Any tips are greatly appreciated!

Now on to this month- my ‘refresh’ month. This is my new favorite part of Power Sheets! Re-evaluating three months through was so good for me! Many of my goals stayed largely the same, but I was able to refine them and get evermore intentional; pruning and cultivating to let the good stuff grow. Yay!

You have probably been hearing me talk a lot about community lately. It is something so near and dear to my heart, both personally and professionally. Building a community of like minded, supportive and encouraging people is one of the best ways to uplift those around you. In May, my overarching focus is going to be cultivating community.

Start a local creative community group. Fostering community and encouraging each other in this crazy adventure of creative entrepreneurship is so important. We are all in this together and in having that fellowship and learning from each other, we will only elevate our industry and push ourselves to be the best we can be. It will allow us to serve our clients, families and each other in ways we never dreamed of before. Implement what I’ve learned. I had a fantastic consulting session with Bonnie last month and gained so much clarity and direction on a lot of dreams for HHE. This month, I’m going to focus on taking little steps to work toward them. Hint: they involve community and relationship building!

Keeping it simple with two very inclusive goals this month. Stay tuned for all of the crazy awesome stuff that is coming this year. May is going to be pretty fabulous, I can feel it.
