When a photographer you admire reaches out to you to style an editorial story, it is kind of the best day ever. This was the case for me this past January. Leah Golter and Lauren from the Backyard Bouquet came to me with a sweet and beautiful idea to pull together that spoke to my heart. Leah had already gathered a lot of stunning inspiration and bringing it together into a cohesive story was such a treat!

We were inspired by the soft romance of blush and plum tones mixed with natural elements. When curating design details, I always draw from the experiences of my couples. Editorial designs are no different. The couple we designed this for revels in the old-fashioned, simple ways of life. They have travelled to small towns in Europe and the US alike. These two invite the journey and are patient in the waiting that true art requires. The simplistic and pure elements of time gone by were the core inspiration for this design.
