Amelia and Wesley met at the farmer’s market one fateful Saturday morning. Every weekend from then on, they got to know each other over plates of their favorite breakfast foods after a morning of market wanderings. When Michael proposed, he did so with breakfast in bed and a tray full of waffles, fresh fruit and Holly’s favorite french press. These two love to cook, host at home and are true morning people.
Their wedding day is centered around the hours of the day when they feel most alive. Early morning hours when the world is quiet and the promise of each new day are at their ripest. They especially love waking up to the birds’ songs and the joy that they impart to all who hear them. They were inspired by the airy light that dawn brings, warm and romantic colors of the sunrise and Amelia’s love of shoreline blues and greens.
This story was such a fun one to dream up and bring to life with my friends Ellen and Alyssa! This is one that we have been waiting so long to share and one of my favorites to date. The team we were able to gather to bring this to life was absolutely stellar and so talented. We are so honored to have been featured on Artfully Wed Blog earlier this week.
Alli did such a beautiful job with the paper suite. I absolutely adore the newspaper envelope liner, an ode to the couple’s love of morning crosswords and slowing down to read the paper together. Her calligraphy style is so whimsical and elegant, perfect for this bright and early morning wedding inspiration!
The girls at A & Be Dallas were such joy to work with. Emma, Ellen and I spent an evening with them trying on so many gorgeous gowns and settled on this exquisite Flora gown. The sweet details are even more amazing unperson and the texture makes my heart sing. Doesn’t Emma look stunning?! Pam from The Flourish Department also put together these sweet favor boxes for guests. They include items from local artisans in Dallas to brighten your morning. What is better to start your day than a cup of Cultivar coffee, raspberry scone mix complete with a tea towel, mug and fruit bowls from Anthropologie? I was seriously wishing I was a guest at this soiree!
BRIK had a lot of the furniture we needed and is a perfect backdrop for this bright and simple design. Lynsie has thought of everything you could possibly need at this venue, seriously! We also were honored to use Gold Dust Vintage’s pieces and Pretty Little Plates’s tableware. These ladies have such great eyes and hearts for well loved furniture and details that tell stories so beautifully. All of their pieces have stories all their own that add to the feeling of the day. Those glasses, candlesticks and silverware have no doubt been witness to so many dinner parties, brunches and celebrations. Exactly the experience we envisioned for Amelia & Wesley’s guests.
No morning wedding would be complete without spectacular coffee served with a smile! Our friends at Your Coffee:Experience brought their coffee bar to us and served the absolute best cup of joe I have ever tasted – honestly. Marcie, from The Little Pie Kitchen, brought us these darling and absolutely delicious mini quiches and mini pies. Friends, if you need brunch or light dessert options, she is your girl. There were none left to take home!
Every detail of this story was thoughtfully curated by the amazing team we gathered. Thank you to everyone who helped bring this to life! It was such a joyful and beautiful day that I will never forget. Your talents are such a gift and we could not have done this without all of the artists and participants. Wising all of you a peaceful, bright and joy filled day ahead!
