Coffee and Dreams Date Nights

Lifestyle

In the busyness that summers bring for many of us wedding industry folk, it can be hard to carve out intentional time with our loved ones. Whether you are single, married, have kids or fur babies, it is just hard with so many beautiful beginnings vying for your attention. Being intentional and present does not have to be fancy or even take more than thirty minutes. You just have to be all there.

Busy-Season-Dates

I have been working really hard to take this to heart and act on it this  year. Even if we can only steal a ten minute conversation or coffee on the porch, it is worth it. Here are a few ideas for slowing down and easily spending time with your loves.

Cook dinner together. We all have to eat, right? Why not try a new recipe together or take that 20 to 30 minutes to talk about your day and work as a team? Guys, I promise it is more fun than you think.

Go to the bookstore and talk while dreaming of your future. This is a new favorite of ours. We will go pull inspiration for our big dreams and make notes and talk about everything from trips to homes to other adventures life brings.

Take a walk. We all need to move and take mental breaks when we work late. Why not take advantage of that time to spend together?

Turn on music and dance before bed. This is my personal favorite! Whether it is singing and being goofy in a dance party or slow dancing to your wedding song, you are sure to connect and enjoy yourselves.

Simple dates are usually our favorite and the no fuss aspect allows us to focus on each other. I would love to hear some of your ideas for busy seasons!

xoxo, Jenn
