May Goals | Tending with Intention

Lifestyle

Hi sweet loves! It has been too long since I have regularly written to and for you! The past few months (well, this year) have been a whirlwind and I am so grateful to finally have some energy and routine back in my little corner of the world! Remember this post about all of my dreams and ambitions for 2017? Well, as always, God had different plans and pressed pause on a few things in the Pocho house and this HHE web home.

I have always been such an advocate and avid user of Powersheets, yet, I hadn’t touched mine since January until this past weekend. It felt so good to sit in our new home, in my new office space and slow down to focus on life. I’ll do a full goal reset in light of our little bean next month, but today is as good as any to start living intentionally once again.

We all go through seasons that leave us feeling stretched thin and like there is never enough time, right? Let me tell you, I have felt so drained and like a wanderer so far this year. You know what? That’s ok. The fact that I can confidently say that to you is a wonder in and of itself. In the last year and a half, my heart and priorities have been shifting in ways I fought for so long. Let me tell you, having “Rooted” as my word of 2017 was no mistake. It is high time I simplify, focus on what truly matters and get uber intentional with every are of this beautiful life I have.

With that in mind, I am choosing a very specific vision and encouragement each month. January was foundation and February (even though goals didn’t get written) was plant. Here we are in May and I have chosen to tend with intention. What does that mean? By pure definition, it means “to grow or move in a particular direction with an aim or plan”. Amen!

Since I have been out of routine for so long, I chose very small and doable action steps this month. As always, for accountability, I’ll share a few here.

  • Lovingly prepare for an engagement session and wedding in the next two months
  • Finish unpacking the house and start making it our home, one day and one room at a time.
  • Meal prep each Sunday to make more time with AJP on weeknights
  • Blog twice a week
  • Write in my Joy Journal to Baby P once a week
  • Write the Word and read 2 Chapters of Isaiah each day (I have been working my way through Isaiah for FAR too long!)

If you have similar goals or simply would like encouragement with yours, leave a comment. I’m cheering  you on! Oh friends, I am so glad to be back on the blog and checking in again! I’ll see you here every Tuesday and Thursday! Let’s make May and the slide into summer amazing, shall we?

xoxo, Jenn
